I love Sezane and the french style of the brand. I love that the Sezane Achilles Sweater is RWS certified, OEKO- TEX certified, uses recycled packaging and is made in an audited factory. Though as a long time lover of Sezane I am sad to see the Achilles being made in China and less natural fibers being used. But I think the biggest drawback of this piece is the price- a whopping $170. I have been very lucky to buy all three of my Achilles preloved but even then they were all around $100. So I started looking for dupes because I understand that not every budget can swing a sweater that is over $100. Below are my favorite dupes for the Sezane Achilles Sweater and they are all under $50.
1- A Dupe with Size Diversity
Old Navy Brushed Shaker-Stitch Cardigan Sweater for Women– $40-45 (depending on color)
This Old Navy dupe comes in four colors- white, rose, light yellow and black. Plus this dupe comes in petite, regular and long with a size rage between XS-4x. This is a much better size range than what you will get on Sezane’s website. Also Old Navy often has very good sales so I would not be surprised if these went for sale in the $20-$25 range. [UPDATE: There is also a grey dupe which for some odd reason has its own product listing here!]
2- A Striped Dupe
Old Navy Brushed Striped Shaker-Stitch Cardigan Sweater for Women– $42
I actually love this striped version and would likely already have it if Sezane made an Achilles like this. But alas they don’t so this Old Navy dupe might be even better than the original! And as I mentioned above, Old Navy has lots of sale so keep your eyes peeled for a deal.
3- The Best Deal
H&M V-neck Cardigan– $20
This H&M Conscious Line dupe comes in 5 colors and is a very reasonable $20. If you buy this in a more neutral color (or a color that works with your wardrobe), it’s definitely a closet staple! My personal favorite is the white melange color.
4- Dupe with Fun Sleeves
Vero Moda cardigan with volume sleeves in pink– $31.00
This Vero Moda dupe has the classic v-neck look and chunky buttons but also has more volume in the sleeves! The sleeves make this dupe and little more unique and fun. Plus I love the pink color.
5- The Dupest Dupe
Abercrombie & Fitch Chenille Eyelash Cropped Cardigan– $49
This Abercrombie & Fitch dupe is some similar to the Sezane Achilles sweater in mottled pink, a colorway that I do own in the Achilles. But this version comes in $120 less than the Sezane version so grab it quickly since it is on clearance.
