The Bootie Trends I am Seeing for Fall

I love a good bootie. Low heel, high heel, Suede, leather, open toe or closed toe I am pretty positive there has never been a bootie that I didn’t like! Plus it seems that there are away new shoes trends every season, even to a classic like the bootie.

Below are the trends I am seeing that I feel are going to be big this fall/ winter season.

1- The Animal Print Bootie!

I have posted a cute pair of animal print booties, every blogger has posted a cute pair of animal print booties and I am sure you have seen them at the store. After trying on some really cute leopard print ones at Nordstrom I decided to go with the cheaper Target version. My reasoning behind this is that the Target ones were cheaper and honestly more comfortable.

The Leopard Bootie

$27.99 (make sure to enter the code “BOOTS20” to get the discount!)

2- The White Bootie!

If you were looking at any snaps from NYFW about a month ago you will notice the ever present white bootie. There is just something about a nice crisp white bootie that is so appealing to the eye when laying out an outfit. I decided to opt with the lower heeled Dolce Vita style but I love the Steve Madden higher heeled version as well.

Macie Bootie in Off White

$147

Steve Madden Editor Bootie White

$129 (through 10/21 $90.30)

3- The Red Bootie!

The red bootie reminds me of the white bootie in the fact that it’s a pop of color for an outfit. But the red makes way more of a statement. I absolutely love to pair red booties (or even red accessories) with blue or black jeans and a white top. A comfy outfit that is given a pop of color with the red booties works for me.

Topshop Kosh Sock Bootie

4- The Velvet Bootie!

The last trend I am going to talk about today is the velvet bootie trend. Lately we have seen velvet popping up everywhere- shirts, pants, dress, skirts and even handbags. And the fall bootie line up is no different. Every retailer seems to carry some sort of velvet bootie. I personally have the Steve Madden ones (but in blue) and snagged them for a deal ($15) at the Nordstrom Rack so keep your eyes open for deals on these.

These leopard print booties are a hit with the bloggers and are honestly so comfy. I find they run tts. Plus a big bonus is the heel is not too high so they are great for everyone wanting a little pop of print in their fall wardrobe!

Picture Perfect with Smile Brilliant + Giveaway!

If anyone has seen me at breakfast, lunch, dinner, snack time, break time or anytime I am thirsty you will see me with a soda in my hand. (I know I know not a good habit but I have limited it to one a day- two when its a really really bad day.) I love my daily soda and do not drink coffee but that does not mean that my teeth are pearly white. My favorite sodas happen to me Diet Dr. Pepper and Coke Zero both of which are not ideal for keeping your teeth white. So when I was approached by Smile Brilliant to try their customized teeth whitening kit I immediately agreed. (Note this is a sponsored post. Keep scrolling for the giveaway and coupon code!)

The product comes in a box with mold ingredients, mold trays, a prepaid labeled pack to send the models back in, teeth whitening gel and sensitivity gel. This product  is unique in the sense that every person gets custom fitted whitening trays – clear molds made that fit your teeth perfect, hence the prepaid label. This is achieved by sending in dental impressions that you make by easily combining two ingredients and putting the trays in your mouth. Then a couple days later your custom fitted trays appear!

PROS

  • Custom Fit Molds- They stay on so well!
  • Desensitizing Gel– You use this gel after the whitening gel and it helps a lot to minimize tooth sensitivity
  • Refillable- you already have the custom fitted trays and can just order more gel
  • Flexible- can use the whitening trays for 45 minutes-3 hours so you can use it either when you have a lot of time or a little time
  • Cost Savings- wayyyyy cheaper than getting your teeth whitened at the dentist (A comparable whitening system at the dentist can cost more than 300 dollars!)

Before

After

CONS

  • Can be hard to administer the gel evenly and correctly on the molds
  • You do have to wait for the molds to be sent back to you since they are made to fit your teeth
  • Cannot really talk when whitening (but big positive is its a great excuse to be left alone to read the new book you just got!) #whileiwhiten

Overall I loved the product and found it to work better than a lot of different teeth whitening products I have used. The other products I have tried do not stay on well, hurt my teeth, or do not really seem to whiten. The Smile Brilliant product was the exact opposite! I would completely buy refills once I run out of the whitening materials and probably will re-whiten my teeth before my wedding!

Plus I have been lucky enough to offer you all the opportunity to enter to win your own a free kit to try! Click here to enter. All you need to enter is you name and email! So easy. If you do not want to wait receive 10% off your order with the code “bargainhuntingblonde”.
